Free Movement Class Supporting Open Arms
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, Barceloneta’s open-air seaside park became a dance floor. Waves crashed in rhythm with music, and people gathered under the spring sun for a free movement class celebrating freedom and humanity, hosted by Beats for Relief in support of Open Arms.
The Dancing Twins
Alena & Alina, known as The Dancing Twins, led the session with infectious energy. No choreography, no pressure — just an open invitation to move your body however you felt called to. Strangers became companions, and the joy of expression united everyone present.
Dancing for Humanity
Behind the lightness of the day was a powerful cause. Open Arms works tirelessly to save lives at sea and provide humanitarian aid during crises. By showing up and moving together, participants stood in solidarity with those who face the unimaginable challenges of displacement, persecution, and poverty.
A Celebration of Connection
The event was proof that activism doesn’t always have to feel heavy — it can also look like joy, community, and rhythm under the sky. Every smile, every step, every heartbeat carried the message: we move so that others may live.
