The Magic of the First Aperitivo Live: Neu Beat at Volta
The launch of Aperitivo Live at Volta was everything we hoped for — and more. A night where creativity met connection, where beats met conversation, and where a new community took shape over spritzes, sound, and shared energy in the heart of Barcelona.
The Artist: Neu Beat
Taking the stage for this inaugural edition, Neu Beat delivered a performance that defied expectations and blurred genres in the best way possible.
Known for his live electronic music, Neu Beat doesn’t just play — he creates in real time. His sets are built layer by layer through live looping, synthesizers, and drum machines, each sound unfolding before the audience’s eyes.
The result is music that feels alive — fluid, dynamic, and deeply human.
Neu Beat’s roots in jazz, blues, afrobeat, and noise merge seamlessly with the pulse of house, techno, dark bass, and hard techno, creating a sound that’s both grounded and otherworldly. Watching him perform is like witnessing a painter at work — except the canvas is time itself, and each note becomes a brushstroke that evolves into a living groove.
Every loop, every rhythm, every synth line is improvised — yet somehow it all fits together with effortless precision. His performance wasn’t just heard; it was felt.
The Vibe: Aperitivo Reimagined
Hosted at Borneta’s Gallery + Volta Bar, the evening brought the Italian Aperitivo tradition to life with a Barcelona twist. Guests were greeted with Casa Savoia cocktails, Italian-style bites, and a crowd that perfectly captured the spirit of the city — relaxed, international, and full of creative energy.
As the sun dipped and the first loops took form, Volta’s warm lighting and vintage charm became the perfect backdrop. Conversations drifted between beats, laughter filled the corners, and the sense of something new beginning hung in the air.
Captured Moments
Special thanks to @bzibini, whose lens turned the night into timeless visuals. Every shot — from the flicker of Neu Beat’s synth lights to the crowd’s collective sway — captured the essence of what we’re building: a space for genuine connection through sound.
